Such a wonderful idea today! Broccoli in my fridge and shrimps in my brain since I think 2 or 3 days…and the turmeric color: I love the hot yellow color of this special powder!
Be ready guys, ’cause this is one of the best dried pasta dishes that you can find here in Tuscany.
INGREDIENTS
2 or 3 Broccoli
400 gr shrimps
one garlic glove
EVO oil (Extra Virgin Oil)
salt
Turmeric 3 teaspoons
2 or 3 different kinds of Short pasta, 360gr (4 people)
METHOD
Put the oil in a large pan, crush the garlic with a hand without removing the skin; add the garlic to the oil and put on fire for about 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it take the flavor.
Cut the broccoli (after having washed them…) in 3 or 4 parts; don’t forget to remove the hard stalk.
Cook them: they’re ready when they’re crunchy, not too soft!
That’s why I suggest cooking them steamed; it’s a natural kind and all the mineral salts remain inside…and the flavor too.
It’s a simple and healthy operation and you’ll need just 20 minutes cooking.
Turn on the heat and put in the pan the Broccoli to flavor with the oil and the garlic; flip them in the pan for about 3 minutes.
Add the Shrimps and sauté all together for about 3 minutes more.
Salt and add Turmeric (its benefits here). Let it only 2 minutes on the fire; mix with the help of a wooden spoon, if you like it.
Turn off the fire:
During this time you have to put the water in a pot and waiting it’s boiling.
Add the salt to the water (3 or 4 teaspoons).
When the water is boiling you can pour your Pasta mix (obviously with the same cooking time).
Wait the cooking time you see in the pasta box or pack, less 1 minute.
Drain the pasta and flip (1 minute) it in the pan with your amazing sauce.
