Only 3 days to Spring!

Can’t wait to start a new Season of Private Cookery Courses and Dinners, can’t wait meeting up new people and amazing places where they’re on vacation in Tuscany. Every year it just like a rebirth: it’s time to take my CuocheinVacanza bag (I name it: Mary Poppins bag), to clean up my car that’s my first assistant, to set my recipes to give as gift…

There’s a pleasant New this year: The CuocheinVacanza Diploma!

It was floating in my mind since a while, and now it’s finally ready. All our cookery Lessons and Classes are hands on (we’re fresh handmade Pasta addicted!) and it’s very important to have something that remind your holiday in Tuscany and everything you did during your journey.

A Diploma is one of these, furthermore, if you think that ours is an “Itinerant Cooking School” and we run “Private” cooking classes directly at your Holiday Home, when you’ll watch your Diploma on the wall, it’ll be as watching a piece of your vacation in Tuscany while staying at your holiday home.

We’ll give it to every partecipant in our tuscan and italian cooking classes. I’m so thrilled to take a picture to the first who’ll held it in its hands; hoping I’ll post it quickly!

It’s true, our job is always an adventure, starting from the place where we’ve to go. Last year we saw many luxury and fabulous locations hidden by nature and woods, can’t explain how I was able to reach some remote and isolate places.

Tha’s why I bought a new car, able to travel on unpaved and steep roads. I can’t forget one of my last trips toward a family from Belgium, on holiday in Tuscany; once left the highway, I had to drive for about 10 km on a road that rather than unpaved was made of river pebbles! Incredible…sometimes I had to stop the car, get out of it and open a sort of gate made with large metal nets. I knew that these gate were built for wild boars and other wild animals of the forest…I have never seen something like that. Once arrived to my customers’s holiday home, I was in front of a wonderful place, 3 or 4 tuscan houses (red bricks), a big swimming pool and a magnificent setting.

Location is always the first surprise, the second are people that we meet in our job…always nice, happy; it always seems a gift, after a long journey.

Telling you about our Cooking Classes Transferts toward remote and isolated places, I can’t forget a magnificent stone house that we reached last Summer. The family that asked for us for a cooking class was of parents, children and in-laws. I already guessed that I would to reach a remote place when I saw the map that they sent me; the way to go was the most twisty that I had ever seen, furthemore there was nothing around it, just woods.

It was very complicated driving up to over there on that narrow country lane; enough to think that although it was a luxury home, with all the facilities that you can imagine, didn’t exist a housekeeper available to reach it by car. Once arrived over there, once again, we were in front of one of the most beautiful Tuscan views; the house was at the top of a hill, surrounded by Ortensia flowers and fruit trees; it was a “sight” I’ll never forget.

Well, Spring is coming and we are ready to restart; sometimes we drive just 40 minutes, sometimes 2,30 hours, anyway we go throughout Tuscany and we come directly at your holiday Home for Private Cookery Courses and Dinners. That you live in an isolated spot or in an apartment downtown, we’re coming to you to prepare the most tasteful tuscan and italian dishes with and for you.

This is our job, which continues for 7 years. We love it and we love people that we meet; they give us joy and we always try to give them the highligh of their trip in Tuscany.
